Custom In Ear Monitors For Musicians (Dual)
$599.95 Per pair
Colours and options →Perfect-Fit Technology™Made in the USA

Live photoreal preview, your real earpiece, recoloring as you design.
Hand-built in the USA to a mold of your exact ear. Choose your sound and your shell, we build the one pair that's only yours.
Standard vinyl is included. Big Ear Soft Silicone is a $100 upgrade: our own soft silicone, refined over 20 years of customer feedback. It costs more because the material is premium, and it is what lets us build a powerful headphone you can wear all day, even under a helmet. Convertible models are built in a firmer acrylic shell only.
Clear. Every Big Ear custom headphone is built in a clear shell.
That's about 8 weeks from when your ear impressions reach our lab. Every pair is molded and assembled by hand to your exact ear, the wait is the craftsmanship. Your free impression kit ships within 2 to 3 business days of your order, we keep you posted stage by stage, and back it with our Perfect-Fit Promise.

A tad pricey, I must say, but the sound and build quality make you want to use them again and again. In the end the price seems minimal.
You have never done this before. You are about to put a small foam block in your own ear and fill it with silicone, and somewhere in the back of your mind is the thought: what if I get it wrong and I have just wasted my money?
You haven’t. Tell us, and we send you another kit, free. No argument, no fee, no “you should have watched the video.”
It happens, and it happens to people who did nothing wrong. An impression can come out short, or with a void, or the block can shift. Our lab checks every impression the moment it lands, and if it isn’t good enough to build from, we don’t build from it. We would rather send you a second kit than hand-build a set around a bad mold and let you find out eight weeks later.
You cannot hurt yourself doing this. The oto-block stops the silicone at a safe depth, it physically cannot travel too far into your canal. The silicone is soft, it sets in about five minutes, and the whole impression lifts right back out. It takes 10–15 minutes, it’s easier with a helper, and there is a guided video in the box.
And if you would rather not do it yourself at all, you don’t have to. Get your impressions taken in person at any of our 50+ providers, or at an audiologist or hearing-aid centre. Send those instead.

What happens after you pay
A custom set cannot exist until we have the shape of your ears. The kit we send takes a mould every bit as good as one taken in a clinic, it is what most of our customers use, and it is what the lab builds from. If you would rather have it done for you, any audiologist can, or you can visit one of our providers. It costs the same either way.
