Can you make a custom adaptor for my earbuds?

If your device seals inside your ear canal with a tip - earbuds, IEMs, electronic shooting plugs, in-ear aviation headsets or comms earpieces - we can almost always build a custom-moulded adaptor for it. If it sits over or outside your ear, such as an earmuff or over-ear headphones, we cannot: there is no tip to replace.

Why can't you make an adaptor for earmuffs or over-ear headphones?

A custom adaptor replaces the tip that seals inside the ear canal. Muffs and over-ear headphones sit outside the ear entirely, so there is no tip to replace and nothing for a custom shell to grip. Custom earplugs can be worn underneath muffs for extra protection.

How long does a custom adaptor take to make?

35 to 40 business days from the day your impressions reach the lab. Your free impression kit ships as soon as you order, and return postage is on us.

No, and here is why

Earmuffs (3M Peltor, Howard Leight Impact Sport, Walker’s Razor, MSA Sordin), a muff clamps over the outside of the ear. Nothing enters the canal, so there is no tip to replace. Custom earplugs can be worn underneath a muff for more protection.
Over-ear headphones (AirPods Max, Sony WH-1000XM, Bose QuietComfort 45, Beats Studio Pro, Sennheiser HD), the cups sit around the ear rather than sealing in the canal.
Passive over-ear aviation headsets (Bose A20 and A30, Lightspeed Zulu, David Clark H10), the cups clamp over the ears. In-ear aviation headsets are a different story, those we build for every day.
Bone-conduction and open-ear (Shokz OpenRun, Bose Frames), these deliberately leave the canal open. No seal, no tip, nothing to grip.
